Here is my problem, I just bought a new centerforce clutch, and im using my stock
T-5. Im expecting around 480hp at the wheels, the reason im saying this is before the tear down of the car I was getting 485 at the wheels.

Anyway here is my problem, I know the transmission will not last behind this engine. The input shaft on the T-5 is 10 spline. The transmission I want is the Tremec 600ft pound tranny. The input shaft on that tranny is 26 spline. Im thinking of returning the centerforce clutch and ordering a king cobra clutch($190.00). This way I dont waste 400 dollars on the centerforce, because if the stock tranny gives ass 3 months after start up I just wasted 400 bucks.

I figure once the T-5 gives ass then Ill buy the Tremec tranny with the 26 spline centerforce clutch. Kind of confusing but I would like some input on what you guys would do.

well, if you're gonna need to upgrade to the tko 600 (i'm assuming that's the one you want) might as well keep the centerforce (if it'll work w/ the tko) so you don't have to buy it later.

if a stock e7 5.0 can bust a t5, your 480hp and tq will destroy it--no doubt about it.

one way to offset cost is to sell your not-yet-busted t5 and make a couple hundred or more.

the centerforce he has will not work with the tko600. the only tko it will work with is the tko500 with the 10 spline input shaft. my suggestion is to save the money on the king cobra, sell the t5, and just do the tko600 swap now and get it over with. it will be half the work for less money. the tranny isnt going to be your only concern at that power level though.
