Hi friends, I need some help, I have a mustang 77 coupe with a 347 stroker kit, I put this cam and heads:
CAM:
Hydraulic flat tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,800-6,000 RPM
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 230
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 236
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 230 int./236 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 274
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 286
Advertised Duration: 274 int./286 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.520 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.523 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.520 int./0.523 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 110
Intake Valve Lash: 0.000 in.
Exhaust Valve Lash: 0.000 in.[/SIZE]
HEADS:
* 58cc combustion chamber
* 180cc intake runners
* Intake valve diameter:1.94 in.
* Exhaust valve diameter: 1.60 in.
* 3/8 in. screw-in studs
* Valve springs: 1.250 in. dual, 100 lb. seat pressure
* Max lift: .560 in.
* For hydraulic flat tappet cams only
I´m going to change the valve spring for others wich match the cam´s especifications.
I´m going to put this ones:
Number of Springs Per Valve: Dual
Outside Diameter of Outer Spring (in): 1.430 in.
Coil Bind Height (in): 1.150 in.
Damper Spring Included: No
Spring Rate (lbs/in): 296 lbs./in.
Inside Diameter of Outer Spring (in): 1.070 in.
Inside Diameter of Inner Spring (in): 0.697 in.
Valve Spring Style: Standard
The Questionis is: Do I have to change the valve locks and retainers too?
Thanks a lot
