Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting a 08 GT soon. Anyway I've been going over what I want to do with the car and I want to put either a duck tail spoiler or the GT500 Spoiler on the car. So I would like some pics of 05+'s that have either one of those so I can compare.

I have another question, if I got the factory spoiler and decide to go with the GT500 spoiler do they use the same holes in the trunk?

Thanks.

I got my GT500 spoiler off ebay from the spoiler store for $150 painted. It uses the two rearmost stock holes and tape to fit. Even after paying $160 shipping to get this to the UK, it was still a bargain and for my money, transforms the rear of the car by getting rid of the awkward pedestal spoiler.

Mine has the SHR honeycomb panel and "Mach 1" style billet medallion coupled with chrome light surrounds from Harmans show lenses.

The reason I went for the GT500 style is no additional holes to drill and it looks really clean. Kooldawg has a great install thread too.

The front install tape covers most of the two forward unused holes and a little plug of 3M tape closes it off.

I love the look of the GT500 wing:nice: Here is the above mentioned thread...

Here's a picture with both of ours together and a few apart. Mineral Gray with Cervini's C Series ducktail and Torch Red with 3D Carbon GT500 style spoiler.

I REALLY want a ducktail, but I hate the way Cervini (and others) makes the plates run all the way down the rear deck. Seems pointless, and adds to the "stick-on" look of it. Cervini has some cool ideas, but I'm not crazy about the way they implement them. Their hoods do the same thing... stick out farther, thus requiring more stick-on pieces around the grill to match everything up. The 500 spoiler looks much cleaner.

Other than molding it in with the car as a couple have done on here there is no way to avoid the stuck on look of a ducktail. The reason is the quarter panels wrap around to the tail lights. There is one company that makes a whole new trunk lid with it molded in, but still uses stick on pieces for the sides.http://www.fangperformance.com/php/...ser_op=view_page&PAGE_id=16&MMN_position=23:5
