Ok so I traded for an 88 5.0 mustang. Fell in love with it for the first 3 days. Then it wouldn't start after I parked it... this was two months ago. I talked to a few people with far more experience than I have and I've replaced every problem they said it could be. I've replaced the fuel pump, coil, ignition box, and coil lead coming off the distributor. Still won't start, it's getting fuel but no spark. It was converted to carburation by the previous owner and as I've looked through it I've noticed what a nightmare I've gotten myself into. They wiring is a complete hack job. Wired running everywhere, not labeled, and just stuffed anywhere they could put it. Had to cut the plugs off the new ignition box because that's how they had it set up. The motors not the original so I'm trying to figure out which year it is so I can redo it with the right components and parts. I found the "vin" on the motor behind the intake but can't find any information on it anywhere on the web. I'm attaching a picture and hoping one of you guys can figure it out. Thanks in advance!
