Need someone with Ignition knowledge

I have a 93 LX 2.3 4 cyl. It won't start. Cranks but no go, I have 12v power at both coils yet coil one fires nice and blue while coil 2 does not fire at all. It's possible that coil 2 will not fire until the engine is running as the plugs it controls are on trhe exhuast side. Any thoughts on this one? The coils have been replaced. This engine has eight spark plugs.

the 4 banger sub forum might shed more light into this issue. IIRC, while cranking, only one set of wires (one coil) fires.

Check out the crank position sensor. Usually just ckleaning it will solve the problem. Also check out the info on my website. http://home.stny.rr.com/bomansinusa/2.3Dual PlugECM circuit.jpg
