Need suggestions

I have a 1998 coupe with the 3.8 and has 208,000 on it.
My issue is it that it start very hard. Never starts on first try, very loud, shakes and rattles but will always start. Once its running it runs perfectly fine its just hard for it to start. If anyone can give me suggestions and what i can possibly do to help it start easier I would greatly appreciate it.

Fuel+Spark
New fuel filter and then Seafoam the upper intake. Seafoam in the gas tank too.
Check your plugs and see if they tell you if anything excessive is going on in combustion chamber. Install Motorcraft Copper Core or Platinum spark plugs next time (now) to eliminate any doubts. Stick with proven reliability type spark plug mnfr's. NGK, & Autolite are great too.
