I got stock 91 GT rims and am looking for a good summer tire. Looking to spend $100 per tire. Want something in 225/50. I have looked into the Cooper Zeon 2xs, BFG G-Force sports, and Dunlop DZ101 (reviews seem poor though). I got a mostly stock GT so I don't need something that will stick a 400hp beast to the ground. I've tried looking at customer reviews but I wanted to hear from Mustang guys(and girls). A review of someone with a Civic or a Z06 Vette doesn't help me.

.

I'm running Indy Firehawks and I've been rather pleased with the durability and traction. It was night and day from the el-cheapo's I had on there to those. I think I will be buying another set here real soon...

Falken Ziex 512s 245/50/16. Cut 2.0 60's with the h/c/i, never got to try it on the stickier track. You can probably get them for 80 bucks a tire. Treadwear isn't real great, but I done several passes/burnouts/hard driving also. I also have my air pressures pretty staggered.

I'm lowering my car about 1.2" and I am afraid 245/50s will rub the fender though I am considering this size.

I would buy a pair or set of 225-50-R16 BFG KDWS...I used them for my 17" Cobra wheels and they were great, and my friend has them on his 16" Pony wheels and he likes them too.

If I decide to get all season tires I'll get the Toyo Proxes 4 since the reviews are excellent but I'd like to get a summer tire since I won't be driving in mud or snow.

another vote for the falken 512's. i just had to replace mine and the store quit carrying them, had to buy some fuzions. the fusions will do until i can find a local store that has falkens. the 512's can be found on e-bay for under 300 but shipping and mount and balance will take you over 400.

I got a set of Riken Raptors on my Coupe in June. Can't comment on wear, but they REALLY hook up on the street

I'm running 245/50s on mine....they're decently wide but they're a little lower profile than i'd like.
