Im trying to figure out a way to ignite candles and have them in the shape of a name....

But i cant figure out a way to connect each wick. I dont want to have to light each and every tea light


So then i started thinking about trying to engrave/carve out a piece of wood, then put a string in it, to act as a wick, and to have the string in the shape of the name in cursive(so every letter is connected.


Anyone understand what im trying to do? Any ideas? What should be done to the string to speed or slow down burning if i did go the "carved" route?

Any other ideas?

Or how about if i got little wooden block letters? but then i'd need a way to ignite them....hmmm.....

You wouldn't be able to light them all like that. use a blow torch just don't point at candle or else it will melt.

how large do you want it and how long does it need to burn.

get a large piece of would. right the design you want on it with a large sharpy maker. with a drimel or rotor cut out the design. the put camp lantern oil in it. it should light and burn for a decent amount of time depending on how deep you cut the design.

you could also soak the wood block letters in the oil and they should all ignite if they are touching.

not big. Maybe 8.5"x11".

Would that oil ignite easiest?how about 99% rubbing alcohol? Where do I get that oil from?

This is not going on food is it?

If its going to be on the ground or something I would use foil with the letters bent (think V or U shape in the foil) into it leaving a channel in the letters. Then use whatever you want to light.
