Need To Borrow Your Stock 302 Motor...

Hey Corral (okay Pog - I'm a dumba**!!!):

As you all know I am doing some "work" on my car... As such I am in need of a 302 on a short term basis... Basically I need it long enough to drop into my car, drive it for a day to.... um...er....uh.... test the brakes.... yes that is it.... test the brakes.... and then take out...

If anyone has a clean burning one laying around that I could borrow shortly for a little while, PM me and we can make arrangements....

But you have to drive down south and put it together first.

Its been awaiting assembly in my garage since last fall.

I have an early 80`s 302 that runs that im pulling out, short block has been rebult the heads are not in the best of shape you would need intake but you can have it for 50 bucks.

White89: What are the issues with the heads? Will the motor pass emissions if ran with cats? Would it come with the injectors and fuel rails?

The heads I think are late 70`s and not shure of there condition, it has no intake or top end, as it had carb on it and I need to keep intake. The block was rebult by nat. auto parts tacoma in 10/89 its .030 and .010-.010, it is not roller lifters, but the lifters seem sticky on startup. I see no reason why it would not pass emisions. I do have some of the stock parts off the 89. (inj,maf,tb) don`t know if that would be any help to you or not.
