Got a 92 LX and starting to clean up under the hood,it's a challange after 15yrs.

My AC compressor looks like crap, anyone have any ideas on how to clean it up without taking it out,it's still charged and did want to loose the freeon.

Carb and choke cleaner with a small wire brush, or a stiff bristle brush!

try using a dremel with a steel brush, and then a brass brush. i did this to a lot of aluminum parts in my engine bay, works pretty good. takes off all the oxidation and you can get a pretty nice shine. on the spots i could get to (like ps pump tensioner etc), i took some sandpaper, starting with about 200, and kept going finer grit to make it super smooth then buff it out. works pretty good, i think.
