I am installing my panhard bar this weekend. I cannot run tail pipes at all with the bar, so I am dumping my mufflers. I have tail pipes and I see that you can simply unbolt them after the muffler and slip the pipes off. Is it wise to get turn downs? I am running flowmasters 2/1/2 3 chamber system. If I go into a muffler shop, should I get 2/1/2 inch pipe to slip over the mufflers? I was looking and the turndowns do not even need to be that long, as the rear end is so close to where the tail pipes hook into the mufflers. Any help is appreciated!

I have dumps you do need turndowns cause the mufflers tend to heat up the rear end if they dont have them. Just buy some turn downs and weld them on thats what I did.
