I need to pull my rock band's trailer . Does anyone know the towing capacity of my 1999 mustang 4.6. any help . thanks. I'm guessing around 2000lbs total. 6x12 trailer w/equipment.

I had a buddy that had a 03 Cobra 'vert that had a hidden hitch on it. It looked awfully funny going down the road with a trailer, but he hauled stuff with it. Not a big payload by any means, I imagine it was probably a bit under 1k lbs.

i pulled my 15ft speedboat with my 94 gt. its no struggle at all to pull however stopping is a different story. my boat isnt much over 1k lbs but 2k is a bit much i would say. i would get a different vehicle for that. +1 on the drummer with a truck, i think everyone i have ever met drives a truck. its mainly his drum kit taking up most of the room make him do it haha.

It's very easy to do, and not uncommon for quite a few track guys. I'll be adding the Harbor Freight Trailor, as seen in the 3rd pic. I just would not get near the maximum weight. Other than that, you should have no problems if you use good sense. I've seen it on stangs, camaros, and even a porsche last week in San Antonio.

Come on!!! No-one in the band has something better for dragging that sh%^!!!?!?!?

All drummers drive trucks!:D

haha as a drummer, I can tell you that is not true

My dad towed our old 21 ft boat with his 88 5.0 for a number of years in the 90's...Never had a problem. I know it was stupid compared to todays standards but back then no one cared haha.
