well, it didnt start botherin me till yesterday. a few weeks ago, i was street racin, and this guy with another mustang kept wanting to run. we ran probally 15 times in a row. im one that always looks at my gauges, meanin oil and temp. anyways, on the last run, i was watchin the temp gauge, and suppriseingly it was still runnin cool. but by the end of the run, it shot way up to like where the a and l are at in the word normal. then on the way back down the road, i took it kinda easy, real slow, and didnt get on it. i sped back up to 45, but all three shifts were really harsh. so when we got back to where i was parked, i poped the hood, and instantly i smelled burnt trans fluid. my fluid has been changed, and actually i had checked it earlier that week and it was still nice cherry red, and smelled bran new. ok so it got hot. now ever since that incedent, i can only run 2 or 3 races, and even if im drivin normal, and get on it, it gets hot again. the trans dosnt slip or nothing, or even shift hard once it is hot, but my temp gauge is actin like the thermostat is goin. so last night, i took it out. i looked at it, and it seems to be fine. i drove around with it out today, and just drove the car like i always do, but it would still get hot. it all started after those races. the trans fluid is burnt, but there aint not material in it. im kinda wounderin is maby a fluid flush, and a filter change could take care of my getting hot problem? its due for one in another 20 thousand miles, but hey, early matience is always better right?
now my bump steer question.
i plan on usein the eibach drag springs, just till i save enough for my k member and coilovers, but i bought the steeda x2 balljoints, and i was wounderin if it was really nessacary for the bump steer kit.
P.S. i have an eibach prokit for sale. the rear springs were used for probally 2 weeks, and the fronts are ban new. 130 bucks and ill take care of the shippin.
