Need your opinions on tint

I'm pretty sure the legal tint here in VA is 35%. Opinions? Is that dark enough? I don't want it too dark so I don't attract cops, but I also don't want it too light.

Also, ballpark how much does tint cost on these cars. $200?

Pics with % of tint would help greatly!

It should be about $200 give or take, Im finally going to get mine done soon and all the places around here are close to that. I hear the VA State Police are rough on tint though. Heard a story they carry scrapers and will make you peel it there on the spot. My last car was 30% and it looked pretty good (sorry no pics though)

I paid $180 from a local guy but i would say 200 isnt bad.
In the sig pic i have 20% on the front and 5% on the back three. I wouldnt go any lighter than 20% you should be able to put whatever you want on the back three windows thats how it is here in Cali. I really like my combo.

Just remember that when you go darker than 20% or so, you can't see chit out the back at night (I think even 20 is really hard to see through at night but I'm older than some of you pups).

The newer tints really can block so much UV (even with lighter shading) that they keep the interior temps down (if that's a concern for ya) compared to the older stuff.

I have 5%. The lightest I would go would be 20%.

And i have been quoted like $130 for the whole car.

Thanks for the info and pics guys. I don't think I'm going to go darker than 35%. Virginia really sucks, the cops are Nazis.

Before I even read anything. 5% is my personal choice. I have it all the way around and the strip in the front, I love it. And if it wasnt illegal enough I would get another 5% put over it.

Ok now that I read it. Mine was like $75 and it is 5% with 5 year warranty. And it was the High quality tint. Of course I got it as a hook up thats why it was so cheap.

I did mine myself for like 40 bucks with THE BEST lumar film made

I wouldn't go darker than the law allows anymore... I got a $200 ticket for my $20 tint job a few years back... Since then I have obeyed with the laws and actually I haven't tinted the car so that cops can see I am an "older" gent (pushing 30)... I think this helps me get away with more stuff...

Well here its 20%. So as long as your not driving like an ass you pretty much get left alone. Plus I mainly drive with the windows down. At night its hard to tell the difference between 20 and 5 anyway. So again you pretty much get left alone. I try never to be anywhere near a cop anyway. If hes in front I dont pass, if hes next to me I slow down. If he is behind me I get to the lane furthest from him and hope he leaves me alone.
