I've finally got some money set aside to fix up the appearence of the stang. I'm going to go with a set of Bilsteins all around, MM C/C plates, and H&R Supersports. I also pondered the idea H&R 1inch spacers for the back to make the back tires look less tucked in. But I also thought of another idea; going with bigger / different rims. I really like the rims that i have on now...

(sorry for the pic quality.. just getting a quick shot)

they are chrome and i love them(stock width). But would it be worth it to sell them, and just buy new rims just to get more beef out back?

This is not a classified.. but how much do you think I could sell these rims for? The chrome is still perfect and no dings anywhere. Im just trying to get an idea on how much more I'd be paying in the end?

And if I decided to go with new rims, I have no idea what would look good once the car is lowered. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

found another picture that might give a better idea.. but please note, this pic was an evidence picture of a 16 year old that backed into the parked car. Dont worry, the damage has been fixed!

also, how do you think these wheels look?

it has also come to my attention of the wheel widening technique. i ran across an LS1 forum of someone who used this place .. www.fixrim.com in dallas and seemed to have a good experience. They seem to have very good testimonials and i was wondering if anybody knew anything about this technique?

The suspension mods you listed would be my 1st choice too. As far as the wheels, although the 96-98 GT wheels are some of the best stock late model mustang rims ever made, I would spring for a set of something deep dish 18x9 & 18x10 like bullits or FR500s. Anthracite, hypercoat, or silver would look sweet with your color, and I saw the wheels you chose & those would be my last choice just because Cobra Rs are too common nowadays, plus Im not big on cheaper chrome rims because the quality is poor. Even some gunmetal Cobra r's or Saleens would look good too, but those are very common nowadays & would be my last choice.

It would def. be worth it to sell those wheels. The chrome option for those 17's are somewhat rare, and you said they are pretty much perfect. I would love to have them, but i already have new wheels in boxes.

I'd leave the wheels and get spacers. those chrome wheels are the best factory wheels that were ever put on the GT mustang.

i called that place in dallas, and they can widen the rims to 10.5 for $200 a piece. That looks like what im going to be doing, and then slap some 315's on.
