My 92 5.0 has the code 67.

The NSS harness by the transmission looks melted from my exhaust and I can see a bit of frayed wire inside the connector going to the transmission.

Im wondering if i could splice the wires together and bypass the factory connection point.

Would this possibly work? Or do I need to buy both new sides of the harness?

A new harness setup is around 50 bucks. Just wondering if I could possibly save some money and fix the problem.

Thanks.

Pull the clear plug out of your clutch pedal switch and stick a blade fuse in there. There's your temporary bypass.

You'll have to investigate whether the NGS harness from the t5 is the only damaged harness, or if you need to replace the trans hRness. The latter is $100 from
LRS. Unsure what the NGS plug costs

Yes, you can solder/splice them. Just a simple 2-wire open close switch
