Is invoice a good deal on a new 08. Dealer near me said they can do invoice with 0% or 4000 back, on a new loaded gt all options cept nav. So if i take the 0% it will be around 27,000+tax and stuff. That a good deal??

how much are dealers paying to get these cars?? they said they can't do less than invoice because they are loosing money?

Also they said tuesday is the last day of the 4000/0%. Do you think ford will continue that or will they make it an even sweeter deal?

Mike, dealers can sell below invoice if they want to, but usually only would if it's a vehicle that nobody wants and they have too many of. I work at a Ford dealership and all of our remaining new 2008 vehicles are priced below invoice, including Mustangs (we're sold out of GT's, though). We have a couple V6's priced about $800-$900 below invoice, so it's possible to find them below invoice, but invoice is a great deal anyway, so I'd say go for it - especially on a GT if it's equipped the way you want.

Ford's current rebates & special interest rates are scheduled only until November 18th (next Tuesday). They will only continue rebates on the '08's if they feel that there are still too many left unsold nationwide. However, if Ford feels that most are sold, then they could reduce the incentives (I doubt they'd eliminate the deals all the way).

If you score your '08 GT for $27K, you will have gotten a lower price than I did as an employee when I bought my '07 GT at the beginning of the '07 model year (in the fall of '06 when rebates were small). Sounds like you're looking at a decent deal worth considering!

Assuming you bought your GT/CS new: Did you put cash down and/or have a trade-in that was worth more than you owed?

Mike, that's not too bad man. I got a pretty good deal on mine(I think so anyway). I payed $24, 405 for my GT premium the only things it doesn't have are nav, sat radio and HID's.
