Just got in some brand new 302/351W valve covers from Blue Thunder. Very different looking and very cool. Kind of similar to the FE pentroof cover or the Cup style covers in appearance. They come with stainless socket screws, but you still need to buy oil filler caps or whatever... No way these are going to fit under a stock EFI deal - - but for a carb or spider package they might be slick. Thought you might like to see...

They have a shot blast finish - kind of a pebbled texture aluminum. They should be easier to clean than sandblasted or glass beaded parts since shot blasting closes the pores in the casting - - but they are not going to clean like a painted or polised part. I suppose you could polish them or clear coat them somehow.

Those are the top three holes - - the angle of the covers and head threads ends up putting them through the center like that. They are taller than stock for sure - and shaped differently. From the rail to the high spot alongside the top bolts is about 4.25".

There are casting provisions to drill and tap for plug wire looms, and the already have baffles below the filler bungs.

Someone asked about caps. They are threaded with an o-ring seal. You can get solid ones, or one with a threaded hole and a PCV, or one with a threaded hole and a 90 degree hose fitting, or the ones that look like little air filters. Sort of a mix and match deal.
