New 5.0 Owners with Manual Transmission

Mine did the same thing as yours is, hope they can get it fixed for you quick my slave cyliner should be here tomorrow. As for the clutch pedal fix thats not the issue it is a hydraulic pressure issue

Thanks for letting me know, I've been wondering all weekend what it could have been. I'm just worried now because I had to drive it all Saturday and Sunday with the gears grinding and me forcing it into gears sometimes, so I'm going to have them look at the transmission to see if anything might have to be replaced. As for the clutch pedal I think I might have just been me imagining it or something because it hasn't been doing it today at all.

you guys have known me a long time in here. mine has no issues. i drive it like i stole it. just like everything else i own. 2500 miles no issues. if it does, they will fix it. for free.

Thats the way i drive mine, im disapointed of course that its having problems but thats what a warranty is for no charge to me, its just frustrating being its coming up on 3 weeks in the shop when i had it for 2 still no part

there is some risk that we all expose ourselves to when we buy a 1st model year production run. some things have to get worked out by the manufacturer and suppliers especially when a car has an all new engine and transmission setup.

it's a bit annoying, but for a little perspective, at least you don't have to go through potential replacement engines like the M96 engine equipped porsche 911 from 1998 to 2009. can you imagine having to go through an engine replacement at 30k-40k miles on a $90-100k car?

Just joined this forum last night. I also test drove a base 5.0 last night as well. Although i love the car, I will be getting a 5.0 sometime next year. I just am not the person who buys stuff the first time it comes out.

btw, last night was the first time in 10 years that I've driven or ridden a Mustang. I had a 95 Cobra and a 97 Cobra before. The 95 was stock except for Flowmasters and 3.55 gears. The 97 had a Vortech, 4.10 gears, Pro 5.0 shifter and full Bassani exhaust among other things. The 97 Cobra was sold in early 2000.

Just turned 2,100 miles on my 3.73 equipped 5.0 with stock tires. I don't beat on it...only spun tires once! NO ISSUES YET!!
Has Ford issued an official statement yet?I don't want to wait until there is a problem...I want to be pro-active and get it fixed BRFORE there is a problem.
BTW - yes, I did just have the oil changed at the dealership...oops...off topic! :D

Thanks, Jay B.
