This! since she's still in good shape for sure.

Enjoy her as much as you like until you've seen a good performance mod here.

30-40 without a power adder? probably not... :-/

a good cold air intake and a maybe throttle body won't hurt anything and don't cost a ton...but IMO, by far the best mod you can do is get a set of gears. I love my 3.73s, but a lot of guys are very happy with their 4.10s.

Well I got my 2000 bone stock right down to factory exhaust. I didn't intend on doing any mods other than exhaust for sound but ended up doing some more things than I intended on doing when I bought it. I kept everything I upgraded just in case I ever decided to sell it.

I've got plans for forced induction by the summers end. If you want easy HP on the cheap nitrous would work as mentioned above but getting blown would be a better option IMO save your money on the expensive mods that won't get you very far and build on things after you install your choice of forced induction.

Blower, a good set of Blower cams, long tubes with full exhaust and depending on what Trans you have gears and don't forget about a good custom dynoed tune.

All of which will set u back a few thousand...

Upgrading the air-intakes on these cars will cause loss of torque or a major redirection of. In my honest opinion those are not power adders, more of making the car more efficient of a controlled detonation. With these engines if your goal is power, nitrous and or some type of forced air induction.

I did all of the typical bolt-on mods because of boredom. Looking back I would have started with suspension and not have looked back. Bolt-on mods are expensive for what they produce. My .02.

I wouldn't go so far as saying a CAI or a street style throttle body would lose any torque, maybe a cause a small upward shift in the torque curve, but no, a sensibly sized CAI and throttle body won't cost any power, probably won't make a ton more either though.

Just stay away from EBay knockoffs and the race style stuff for a street car. Get one that looks good too you, since looks is a big part of the CAI.
