well i went to the last track day this season and got a new best. keep in mind i was running a pair of 28inch tall ets which are way to tall!
rt:.004 (almost perfect damnit)
60ft:1.860
330:5.573
1/8th:8.643
1/8thmph:80.24
1000ft:11.296
1/4:13.548
mph:100.35

the track was in terrible condition...the rubber at the starting line was peeling up! What mods would shoot me into the 12s besides better driving?

I have most of the same mods except I have:

- 75mm Accufab throttle body
- Comp Cams XE270AHs (and springs)
- Mac long tubes
- 3.73s
- BFG Drag Radials

My best so far is 12.9@105 with a 1.79 60ft. I really need more gear and a higher rev limiter setting, but I think an aggressive set of cams (VT Stage 2 or Comp XE270AHs) would get you into the 12s.

My friend ran a 13.1 (in a GT)with a midpipe and shifter w/ drag radials. Just practice driving, good conditions help also.

i would be the 1st to admit if my driving needed work but honestly the track was in terrible condition and they didnt bother preping it seeing how it was the last track day of the season so hopefully i will run faster this spring

This spring if you go to the track just
run at a different track that likes to
prep there track correctly!

if you lose those lowering springs and disconnect your front sway bar, it should shed some more time off

not to be a jerk, but im calling on that statement. If a perfect driver can pull a 13.9 or 14.0 stock, then DR's, shifter, and a mid pipe cut .8 off...

Thats fine..I've seen it. Why would I lie about something like this??

I have also seen this guy cut off numerous 8.8 passes in the 1/8th mile track here where I live..in a vert GT (stock).

I think you underestimate what drag radials can do for you.

Well it is a good time but it's also a pretty lousy trap speed...
