New Best in the 331.... with street tires.

My dad and I both run Strange adjustable shocks and struts... I highly recommend them!

I'll have new times for my 331 this weekend, if the datalogs are any indication as to how much better the car is running with the new heads I will blow my previous best out of the water. I hope I'm right and don't come home disappointed.

Do you run them on both ends or just the back? Also what are you running for springs? Mines lowered right now so I need something better then that for a drag racing application. I was thinking of putting the stock springs back in or is going w/ a drag race spring a better option? You went to 185's from 165's for your heads didn't you? I know what you mean when you have expectations and things just dont work out right. After my new combo was on I was running 105 and 106 MPH after a previous best of 108 but come to find out my fuel pressure was way to high. Good luck this weekend Id like to see how you do.

Shocks are in the rear, struts are up front. ;) So yeah, he's running them front and back. KC's recommendation is one reason I went that route. :nice:

KC - what settings did you go with again for the front and rear? I'll probably test different air bag settings as well. To be honest I have very little traction issues. My lower control arms are at stock length still. LOL

Hopefully when I start spraying it'll give me an excuse to dial things in more.

I run them on all four corners. I have my back set to the 6 o'clock position and I run with the fronts on 2 or 3 depending on how the car is hooking. When I autocross I set them on 11, and on the street I set them to 6 o'clock. I haven't found the need to mess with the rears at all yet.

For springs I run bullitt springs on the rear and 14" 175 coilovers up front set at just below the stock ride height.

I did swap from AFR 165 pedestal mount heads to AFR 185 comp heads with shaft mount rockers and WOW what a difference. I'll be sure to post the results when I return home from the track.

from what I keep hearing about strange Ive decided to go w/ them.

What would you recommend for springs, my options are to put my stock springs back in that I have off my 95 GT or to get actual drag springs.

Also what is your ride height like w/ the springs you have now in conjunction w/ the strange adjustables? Guess what Im asking is that can the strange 10 ways compensate for the raised height of the car w/ stock or drag springs when it comes to trying to keep a lowered stance look?
