Hi, I asked a question on your last thread about your car but you must not have seen it.

I'm going about the same route as you 347 and all that jazz with a vortech.

How often do you drive the car and how many lbs are you pushing through it? I remember on your last thread you said it was a stock block and still holding up, just trying to gauge how much boost I should be pushing to be at that point or a lil lower.

EDIT: Oh yeah, congratulations on the time man! I hope to be in the mid-low 11's when my build is done as well.

The stock block hasn't been a problem yet!! How much do I drive the car.... When ever I can. The mileage sucks. it drives like stock, til the vacuum goes up about 3000 to 4000rpm. I get my tune checked every a year to check the fuel!! The boost just came out that way. It depends on how it breaths etc. Unless you change pulleys.

Here is my page with the different stages I took with the car. Dyno Page

Here is my latest tune. Around 12.8lbs of boost with a Vortec SQ with standard pulley.

Hope this helps just let me know if you need anything else. My son with a dart block makes 580rwhp on his, bigger injectors etc. Afraid to turn mine up Stock block.

Well slicks are the answer to that.. My best time on DR's was 12.089 with a 1.90 60 ft. Put slicks and magically a 1.54 . I still hit the limiter in 1st, 2nd and third, limiter is set at 6300rpm.
My first run I forgot to lower the pressure ran with about 25#, and got a 1.75, 60' and ran a 12.08 @121 mph. Same as my DR best.

The 330' is listed as .000 on his timeslip, so I was just kidding around with that comment. And you're pretty much right on the 60' time. I usually get around 1.8-1.9 with my car, so a 1.5 is pretty darn good IMO.

Nice work! You said you were hitting the limiter, do you think a shift light might help?? That thing is moving pretty good!

Hi
i was watching the light when I left.. I tried to be around 3500 to 4000 rpm.
At one time it was around 4500. So somewhere in that range. it was a trip leaving on slicks.. Stock rear end etc.

Hi
Shift light might help or maybe a tach.. Still using stock tach. I tried to shift around 6000rpm on my good run and tried shifting 5500rpm on my last run a 1.596 60 and an 11.93
