I have noticed with some of these super charger kits that the cone filter is located towards the back and will suck in hot engine air. Does it matter since it will be run thru the intercooler anyways?

No it doesn't since the ATI comes with a 3-core intercooler.

That's well over what ATI even quotes. That's damn nice but how are you getting that much rwhp? Are you using a 10 psi pulley? What rmp did you peak at? Your sig states you got an ET: 12.902. Is that with the blower? Thanks.

No, thats with the supplied 4.25 pulley. But I was making 9.5 psi at one point with 84 degree air temp.(inlet).The new ATI ad quotes 469 RWHP. Originally they said "450 +". Peak RPM was 6700 And yes the sad 12.9 was with the blower. My Nitto drag radials didnt hook so well, I spun first the whole way, every time. If you dont have a high HP car, its hard to understand getting NO traction. Mickey thompson makes some sticky ass drag radials. Ill probably get some of those and try it again.

You can hear the blower at idle. its a whistleing sound, but by no means overerbearing. Inside the car, its silent. The louder noise at idle is actually the blow off valve. You can hear the air coming out of it at idle. Sounds cool as hell while driving, and reving the motor at a standstill. Its located behind the front bumper on the drivers side. And at full Redline, standing over the motor, you have to hold your ears, sounds like a freight train. I cant figure out how to even post pictures, much less video!

I stood up for you before, but it does sound more and more like driver excuses. I have had a bit of experiance with no traaction so I know what is like, and if the track prep is poor there is little the driver can do.

However the 05 GT's appear to hook pretty good, and any set of DR's will make a big dfference. I think the driver should be accepting some of the reason for the comparitivly high ET's.

A stock 03 Cobra running regular road rubber and IRS can still pull off 12.4 @ 116mph. So in your setup you should easily beat that. (altitude dependant of course!).

Those are times you read about in a magazine with corrected numbers and all their calculations and crap. Take ten 03-04 Cobra owners, let them each have five runs, and see who comes closest to that number. It would be hard. I know my fair share of Stangbangers, and GM guys, and its hard to get what the media prints. I've seen 5 different mustangs (s197) on one night not even break high 14's. What you think you car will run, and what it will is two different things. Im not a pro driver, but ive had many fast cars, autocrossed for five years. If you launch @5 grand or 2 grand, it doesnt matter. when you give the car gas, the tires spin. Its not a stock GT with the Horrible stock computer. If you dont have one of these cars, you dont know. when I shift into second , It rips sideways. This is how it is. Im not trying to be John Force. The dyno was all I needed to show me I have a Lethal weapon. I'll leave Friday night test and tune to the Honda guys and girls. They have NO problem getting traction. I wonder why that is ?
