I had the factor Saleen Brembos (13") installed on my '04 Sallen 281SC but I gotta say that they feel weak. My Saab Aero brakes much, much better. It's better than the stock GT stuff but not what I expected for the money. Do the Brembo's typically brake well. Perhaps I have bit of air in the lines......?????

I noticed much improvement over the stock GT brakes. You should try re-bleeding the system. The kit you have is the 4 piston ’00 Cobra R. I believe Saleen provides a pad that is quiet and has low dust but is not very aggressive in regards to stopping ability.

We had a ’00 Saab before and I remember those brakes working very well but the dust has horrible. They also wore quickly and the rotors needed replacing with the first brake change.

I second that you make sure you don't have any air in your lines. As far as feel, your Brembo's should feel a lot better than your stock GT brakes. I noticed a really good improvement.

How long have you been driving with them. They as all new brakes do need to be seated/bedded in. The rotors and pads need to have a wear pattern between the 2 of them. You should feel better stopping after this is performed. Check with Baer, I believe they have a how-to on their site. And I do agree with everyone else about checking for air in the system. I always tap on the calipers with a rubber mallet to dislodge any trapped air bubbles around the pistons. My father in law just put power disc brakes on his 56' Bel Air Wagon and said it didn't stop for shiet and the pedal felt a little soft. I said you have air in the system. BS I power bleed them. Did a manual rebleed.....perfect now.

My brembos were a night and day difference! They braked so well that with victoracers on the car the nose actually would hit the ground on hard braking...of course, this may say more for the eibach sourced progressive rate springs than the brakes...

Remember that there are two bleed screws per caliper, and there are some how-tos on how to bed the brakes if you have not done so.

You could always upgrade to a more aggresive pad as well.

I've got the 4 piston Brembos and the braking on mine was night and day from the dual piston cobra calipers I had installed. I agree with everyone else, you need to seat the pads in and check for air in the brake system. Mine stop awesome.

you can't compare saab 9-3 brakes to mustang brakes(even brembo). Totally different setup, which would be impossible to replicate on a mustang
