New Cam, Heads or Both?

look at the guys with cobras that actually mod their cars pretty heavily. they dont keep stock heads. budget builds, yes. the 1 time be all, end all, then its aluminum.

It would not be worth your time imho. Installation of a decent performing cam would be hindered by the stock gt40/cobra heads and intake. If your set on doing a cam swap without the head change, then you better stick to something small like the e303 or one of the steeda 18/19 cams. Again the results will be minimal, but if everything is already apart you might as well do it right the first time and change the heads/intake too

It all comes down to budget. If I had the cash, I would not hesitate to put aftermarket heads and intake on my car.

Then comes power goals. If you're looking for 300rwhp, or so, the Edelbrock "package" (heads/intake) would prolly do the trick.

If you're looking for more power, refer to some of the signatures of the guys that post here that also have their hp/et's posted. Do what they did and you should have what they have.

Of course, good "supporting characters" are needed. A free flowing exhaust, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, some tuning will be necessary, as well.

You could always just bypass all that and install a blower. "BlackVert" has one that I would like to have, given the funds.
