just bought a car and on the way back it started bucking and then i pulled over, shut it off and it wont start again. Carbed, msd 6 al ignition box, msd coil, i dont believe there is a computer in the car. It was pouring rain when it happened so i imagine the msd box couldve gotten wet, but it should be dried out by now and it still wont start. The car is not getting a spark. Any advice on what to check or how to tell if the msd box took a crap? any help would be great.

I had a box go bad on me, it should just be a split plug into the coil and the stock coil plug, just plug the coil in directly to the car without the box in the middle and see if that works. That will tell you if it's the box or not.

well you could always put a screwdriver in the end of one of the wires and hold it to something metal and see if you got spark. If not if you have a multi meter check to see if you have power going to the box with the key on.

i ahd this problem whne i hooked mine back up if u have a pr bullit distribtor which i dont evne think i do u have to use green and violet run them to the 2 wires in the distribtor posative n negative run the other wire which is think red to a posative i put on my coil..then the black to a good ground and the thin red to a 12 volt switch ran mine to a accessorie wire...hope this helps man
