well ive been looking for something to drive to school and my parents said if i pay off all the student loans theyll help with a car. so today my dad says you wanna go look at a vw bug? so i said sure, when we got there i found out its a 73 with a rebuilt engine with 1.5 miles on it and there is no rust!!!! none!! he said there was some small areas of rust but he cut it out and patched and primered those spots. new seats and tires, it has everything needed to drive just needs carb. rebuilt and headlights and trim put back on. but ive always liked bugs and my mom says my dad called and said ill probably have a bug tommorow, so ill try to get some pics on mid week. gettin my wisdom teeth cut out tommorow so wont be able to get them tommorow. so whats yalls opinon on a vw? also the to other cars in the garage where a 32 ford, full fiberglass body, chopped conv. with a lt1 and a 69 rs camaro that he bought new in high school with 19,000 original miles

a local guy has a late 70's bug--he's hung out w/ us a few times and i must say it is a very cool car. he was showing me some vw magazine in which a lot of people do a lot of cool things w/ them--even getting them into the 12's! i like the simplicity of it, congrats.

yea i think their pretty cool and from lookin around on the web, pretty cheap to mod. saw some exhaust for 59.96, heads for 199.99 each, etc. so yea should be a pretty cool little ride. and my friends dad used to build/drag bugs back when he was younger, so he knows alot about them so thats a plus

well after doing some research on the net i have discovered that its a super beetle, which really isnt different than anyother beetle(struts up front, longer wheel base, bigger trunk space) and when i told my dad what i found out he decided to keep the car for himself. so i guess im back in the hunt for a college car now.
