Just got this dash installed i cannot get the passenger airbag to go in the tabs hit that mounting bar in back and i cant to push in any farther. I neede bout an inch to make it flush and bolt it down does anyone know know if this mounting bar looks funny i dont have old dash got rid of it after i got everything transfered. 1994 mustang do they all have the same airbags up till when?? Thanks for the help guys.

Well i was doing some checking on ebay motors last nite and someone had one that looked like the one that i have and they were trying to sell it as a cobra dash the bars are pre-bent like mine,yours look like they are straight i dont understand why my airbag won't fit and i don't want to not install them granted the Nevada does not have a state inspection just emissions in some counties i don't want to take a chance in case later on i move to another state.
I've run into the same problem with mine. When the airbag in the dash deploys, it bends the bar behind it(pulls it forward). I've used a piece of wood and a hammer to get it back into position. Right now mine isn't perfect but its pretty close. One of these days I'll have to tweak it some more to make it fit better. I'm not sure if it will ever be as good as new... I've actually debated just getting the delete covers from UPR and say screw it.
