my mom has a '00 exped with the PI 4.6 2v (240/293 i think) and that thing has bailed me out of so many situations it isnt funny. im pretty confident the 4.6 will get better gas mileage than the 5.4 in the city, and it might be about the same on the highway. regardless, i have definitely pulled my cougar and my mustang with that 4.6 on a 2000 lb trailer without issue. and pulled dead tree stumps out of the ground. So i say nice truck! it will last forever.
