We had a dyno day @ Ride Revolutions in Johnson City, TN on Saturday. $40 for 3 pulls. My old numbers were 254rwhp and 280rwtq. Ive since added C&L plenum, Accufab 75mm TB, and Steeda U/D pulleys. These are the new #s. The torque peak number was before the converter locked up so it was really around 299 or so.

Yeah if I were a 5spd, the numbers wouldve been around 295/318. The car ran a 13.57@103 w/ a 60' of 2.18 so with slicks this year and the new mods Im hoping to hit 12's.

That is a good looking car. I am impressed. I was thinking of doing my cams...I dont want to steal your thread, but what gains did you see from the cams? How much did they run you? Were they worth it?

Again, good looking car, nice numbers too.

Besides the cams, what else on your car is putting your power higher than what I have?

I would love to make 300rwhp with my 5spd

I dont know exact gain from the cams. I had the cams put in the PI heads before the swap was done. I got the cams through Modular Depot. Check there for the price. IMHO I think the cams are definitely worth it, if not for the power, for the sound alone

Check my sig for my mods. I should have everything listed on it.

Man, makes me want to install cams when seeing those HP numbers--your mods and mine are almost the same.

BTW, how did you tune for them?

Any loss in MPG?

Driveability issues?

Thanks.

Tune was an SCT chip burned by Scott Noe. Any loss in MPG is due to my heavy right foot. Honestly, I averaged 23-24 highway mpg on a 5 hr trip to Rockingham. Driveability wise, during the cold weather the car tends to surge and hunt idle alot. It doesnt stall out it just surges. Warmer weather the problem goes away though.

So just a regular burn, not a dyno tune right?

It was a dyno tune. Scott did about 15 pulls on the dyno to fine tune it.

Your don't appear to have lost any torque down low, just going between my dyno with similar mods minus cams. Did you notice any torque loss below the 3K mark?
Awesome numbers BTW

WOW, definatly some NICE #s there man .

A little advice for you. Next time, let it cool down 8-10 minutes between one of those runs.....you would have made 282RWHP.

Mine gains 4 RWHP with a 8-10 minute cool down....gained 4 @ Tims (270-274) and 4 at a dodge dealer recently (288-292). Just food for thought next time out .
And 12s should be easy for that car, shouldnt have much of a problem. I dont see a stall converter in your mods...if not, BUY ONE lol. 12s will come MUCH easier for you.

Good luck.

Yep . Its a supercenter. There are several various car dealers (from Jaguar to teh dodge place) in Austin that have dynos. You should try calling some local big car dealers up and asking if they have one.

Friend of mine told me about them, about a year ago...I had no idea lol. Well, maybe you can "mention" the idea to your boss .

Oh and thanks Stg 1s or 2s?

Wow, i might have to pick up a Accufab TB/Plenum combo and u/d pullies soon. I know my gains would not be the same as your car simply due to the heads and cams but ~20rwhp/20rwtq is VERY respectable. I used your worst new dyno #'s to compare just to account for variations in conditions, etc.
Using your best dyno #'s almost seems impossible to fathom that you gained about 24rwhp from pullies and the tb/plenum combo. Guess it shows that pullies arent worthless either. Nice numbers

I think the longtubes help out down low and offset the loss of the cams. There is a little loss but not much. Thats where the 4.10 comes in.

The reason for no cooldown was because we had 50 some cars show up for dyno day. At first they were giving cooldown time, but they had done only 7 or so cars by lunchtime. They were just trying to get everyone in which is fine. I was just happy to be able to dyno because when I got there they told me they had too many cars as is.
