Ok here it goes I've always owned foxes but I got a deal on a 99 gt a couple months ago. Payed $4,300 for the car and it's an auto with exhaust, lowering springs, and 70,000 miles. It's pretty clean for a 13 year old car and is getting me about 22-23 mpg using it for DD duties. I also got a set of fr500 wheels for it for $600 of CL. Well I found a 87 t-top lx last night for sale locally and I'm gonna go look at it. The pic looks pretty good and the ad says the interior has been redone in the car. Am I crazy for thinking about selling the 99 to pick up the fox. It would mean using my truck more often for DD duties when the weather is poor and diesel isn't cheap.

Without seeing the car I'd go for the TTop 87. It's kinda rare on the street although you would have to look for leaks and rot, but it's different. IMO I didn't like the 99 style so I gues I'm partial

T-Top hands down. They're like the lead stallion in a herd of mustangs.

I already have a t-top so it's not like I need it. I know I could sell the new edge and make some money on it but I do use the 99 as my DD and I know if I picked up the fox it would be in the garage more. I emailed the guy last night and waiting for a response so I can look at it

Love me a t-top, but as you may know, if you plan on driving it in the rain it's a no-go. Those things leak like a sieve.

Post pics anyway!

Find out if he repaired the leaky T-top that caused him to redo the interior.

I know leaking is usually a problem but I've had my 88 for about 9 years and while i've never driven it in the rain since I've had it. I have washed it countless times and never had a drop of water make it to the inside. Still havent heard back from the guy but it is an auto but thats okay I got my 6-speed in my 88 and I can let the wife drive it once in a while if it's an auto.

It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?
