so all you do is take the EGR off, push and hold the pin in half way....plug the exhaust bung...and then cover the hold that the EGR we into?

ya its pretty simple. also a tip on covering the hole in the intake is to take the gasket that goes between the EGR and intake, trace it on a piece of sheet metal (dosent have to be too thick) and cut it out. then use some RTV to seal it up when you install it
Here's my thread about the EGR and how it acted before and after the delete... plus the thread has Ford's tech support information about the EGR, and a blurry pic of how I fixed my plunger/CEL light.
I still very confused. I have always read and been told that your car won't run right and it is necessary to get a chip to make sure the egr stuff is turned off. Has anyone done the delete and had their car run bad or anything??

I still wonder if this increase in engine efficiency will translate to an increase in vehicle efficiency. Has anyone noticed a change in fuel consumption (better or worse) when switching from EGR to without, or vice-versa?
As mentioned by others, another advantage of EGR is that you can run more ignition timing. In fact fuel economy is again improved if the ignition timing is optimized for power on an EGR vehicle, when compared to non-EGR. I would assume that Ford did a fairly decent job with the spark advance. "
You will not increase performance by running w/out the EGR. You will only emit more NOX and burn more fuel. Just want to make sure that you guys know the consequences of removing the EGR.
