I have a 91 GT block that I'm gonna rebuild for my 89 lx. I have a turbo on the car that I plan to use on the new motor. I already contacted DSS inc. for a quote on a stroker kit. The kit comes with the following:

Nodular Iron crank
4340 forged steel h beams w/arp hardware
pro-x 13cc max quench twisted wedge pistons
moly rings
tri metal bearings
5.0 stroker mains support system
windage tray
trick flow twisted wedge track heat heads
anderson ford motorsports b-41 blower cam
plus $175 to balance it.

All together its about $3400. In the e-mail the guy said it would support low 10 even high 9 second 1/4 mile times. What do you guys think? Worth the money?

If I have them balance it, will I still need the harmonic balancer?
Anyone here have anything bad/good to say about DSS?
Is nodular iron crank good for performance?
Do you think I'm better off just getting the whole stroker short block from them, or building my own?

Save your money for a good strong block, you will be pissed when your old one splits and ruins the nice internals.
