Well I guess I'll tell you about the fuel injection systems the my uncle is now building. They are smilar to FAST or Accel's systems but are cheaper and work great.I haven't tried it on my Mustang yet (it carbed at the moment) but will switch over again in a year or so. I don't known how much his systems would be on a V-8 but,he has 8 injector four cylinder kit for $675.
He say's that the computers are universal and can be made to work with any engine.Here's the web site

Ok I just finished talking to my uncle while working on our 86' GT.
He says the basic system (no injectors,manifold,etc. includes wiring and sensors) will be priced around $450. They can be run in batch-fire or if desired sequental injection.They don't require a mass air meter and work with all manifolds including converted carb manifolds similar to a DFI set-up.They can run a much bigger injector,throttel body,and cam than mass air systems and are more accurate.
