new fuel pump just stopped while driving!

so i ordered a fuel pump from summit and installed it. probably driving the car atleast 30, 40 miles just driving now and then in the neighborhood and all of a sudden the car dies, i turn the ignition off and on and i hear no fuel pump whine. installing this fuel pump was a pain and i hope not to install another. what else could be a problem with this?

i tried once more to see if it would work and it came on. but i really dont want this problem to happen again if anything

Does the pump get power and ground?

i bypassed the inertia switch

Do you have spark and injector pulsing?

Check the relay.

new spark plugs and injectors they are good. tested those. i was looking up on some research and it was saying something about the eec relay by the computer. think that could be the problem to? fuel pump relay is good. i'll have to drive the car some more to see if it will happen again.

Does the pump get power and ground?

yes.

You said the pump has power and ground. If this is true, the wiring is fine. You're left with replacing the pump.
