I got new oil pressure and water temp guages. Where do they go?? If I put the WT where the factory sensor is, what do I do with the wire? Same with the OP guage. Or is that even where I need to put em?? Any help is greatly appreciated! Pics would really be great too! Thanks!! Chris

Most people mount them in the vent opening with the vent gauge plate kit

I put an OP in my car and the gauge came with a sending unit. I took out the stock sending unit and screwed that one in.

The stock sender can be relocated to the back of the lower intake (drivers side), a modified/aftermarket t-stat housing, etc. Just lengthen the wire so it reaches.

For OP, the stock sender is 1/4" NPT. Most aftermarket gauges are 1/8" NPT. You can use a Tee to keep both senders (and gauges) functional. All the brass you need to convert is available at better hardware stores.

If you haven't, a search will reveal a lot of info.

Good luck.

I tapped and threaded my tstat housing and put my aftermarket water temp probe in there. It isn't as exact as the intake manifold because you are getting the temp of the water after it goes through the motor but for me, it is within a degree or two of 180 at most.

you have a few options. you can use the autometers in place of stock gauges. just screw the oil pressure sending unit into the log that comes off the engine by the oil filter. and just use some adapter form lowes/hope depot to make the coolant temp gauge work in the stock port on the intake. thats what i did. or you can use some fittings on the oil pressure side, to use both the dash gauge, and the autometer. for the coolant temp, you can use the alternate insert on the back corner of the intake, this one will give a less accurate reading, so i would use it for the dash gauge, and use the front port for the autometer.
