So I have what seems to be maybe a wrist pin issue in the current motor so I bought another motor to build since this is my every day driver. So Im sending the block to be honed and bored. Also decked and cleaned. Im going to reuse the stock crank. Heres where I need help....I dont want to go crazy since my pockets arent crazy deep. What should I do from here up? Part numbers would be great. Ill probably reuse the stock heads also. Plan on super charging way down the line but I dont want the car to fall flat on its face until then? How can I get 300-400 rwhp??? without the s/c? for now....

i'm s/c at 11 psi and still cant break 400rwhp!

It depends on what dyno your on and if its accurate. Mustang dyno will always dyno lower. Heck when I put my blower on my car only made 290rwhp on a Dynojet. The dyno was screwed up and the car always put down low numbers at that dyno as I kept modding. I went to a Mustang Dyno near Chicago (Straightline Performance) and the car put down 500+rwhp where at the other dyno it didnt even put down 425rwhp.

Plus it doesn't matter what the car puts down on the dyno it matters what the car dose at the track. :nice:

:nice: this is all great but could someone please lead me in some sort of direction????

It would be idiotic to stay N/A. 300whp naturally aspirated will cost thousands of dollars, so you might as well get a blower. A used set up will cost about 2,000-$3000. Then you'll make 360-400whp. Blowers are very safe, as long as you keep the AFR around 11.5.

Nitrous would cost about $600-800 and produce about 340-360whp (for a 100 shot) and about 450lbs of torque.

Since the motor will be OUT of the car, you might as well rebuild it with some nice forged internals to withstand some power. Doing so might cost another $2000 in parts. That way you could run a good amount of boost or nitrous.

There is nothing wrong with nitrous or superchargers as long as you are safe and get the car TUNED. It's all about AFR and timing. Period.

SO you can spend 3,000-$4,000 to make 300whp NA, OR you can spend that amount to get 400whp. Spend 5-6 grand and you might be able to make 500-600 whp.
