i have a 2000 mustang gt it came with a factory radio with a cassette player and under it a factory cd player

i have replaced the radio with a mobile tv unit but i want to use the cd player that is still mounted under the new radio

do any of you guys know what the wiring on the cd player is
maybe i can just tap into that wiring and get the cd player to work with my new head unit

never gonna work unless the cd player has its own outputs as in speaker outputs, or RCA outputs, getting a changer that works w/ your tv is probably your best bet

if i understood you correctly

I'm gonna agree with strokedandblown. The factory CD player isn't really designed to work with anything other than the factory deck.

So, unless you've got electrical engineer type skills (and alot patience), go for an aftermarket changer made for that tv.

Your best bet is to add a cd changer to the mobile unit. You should be able to if its a quality unit.

thxs guys i see you point
only one jack comming from the cd player
i am sure its (power/gnd/signal/remote)
but not sure my radio/tv has a tunner and the tuner has input for cd /dvd and other input devices so i am thinking i can get the factory cd player to run off it

ps i know just get a good changer hehe
