Ok rebuilding my 88 with stock short block specs and NOT doing the mass air conversion due to the $800 price and the fact I'm not looking to get much more power than 275-300 RWHP which SD can handle that range. Now my question is with stock cam and stock short block should I get my stock heads ported or go for the eldlebrock rpm heads. I am wondering if the RPM heads will work with the stock cam?. My current set up is Edlebrock performer RPM upper and lower, 70mm throttle body, K&n, and MAC Lt's and h-pipe with flowmaster cat back. I just want to make better use of the performer intake which I think is going unapreciated with my current set up. Please don't bang on me for staying SD, but with a tranny rebuild and gear swap (and posi rebuild) I have to stay reasonable about price, not to mention as above I like my power output now, but I think heads or stock head porting will give the car a nice finishing touch (20-30 RWHP). So Speed density guys let me know if above will work.

MASS air conversion instuctions from http://www.stangnet.com/tech/maf/massairconversion.html FREE
A9L computer from junkyard $100-$150
70MM MAF from 94-95 Mustang GT - $40-$70
MASS Air wiring harness kit $30-$85

The whole thing is proably less than $300 using junkyard parts.

Want a 80 MM MAF from the junkyard 'cause 70 MM's too small? See http://www.pro-flow.com/old files/apchart.htm and find an 80 MM MAF that matches you injectors. You might have to swap the MAF's plastic electrical connector, but a safety pin and 10 minutes worth of effort makes that an easy job.

Don't think there is a need for Mass air conversion as stated before, I believe speed density can learn to deal with several bolt ons...guess I'm really looking for info on rpm heads verses ported and polished stock E7's cause I've decided its one or the other, but reworked stock heads are much cheaper...what kind of horsepower increases are seen with each?

Ok but I noted I have decided not to change to Mass air..I know alot of you haven't run speed density cars and think converting is best but my mods are going to be finished at heads...keeping stock cam, no bored over, no forced induction, no nitrous..this is not my first stang and I know I will not be upgrading output..I only want to know about heads..car is going the show route and I will not be converting to mass at all. Perhapse if tmoss give me a hand. Thanks for the imput guys but I don't need to be converted..nor does the car. Head info remember..come on guys I need cylinder head info..hp increase numbers for ported and polished stockers and or eldlebrock RPM headss...
