Hi
Dec 25th, a.m, woooow a pair of Edelbrock Performer heads under the tree with 1.90 intake.
Jan 13th noon, the heads are now part of the car.
Greeeeeeeeat!!!! You can feel them.
Now, my car is a totally stock 93 GT,auto, less than 60 k on it and I want to keep the stock look or at least stealth, which mod is next? I already have 3.73 gears on the shelve.
BTW I did all the head transplant job.
Thank s lot!

becuase u started on engine first then: cam, stall converter, intake, 70mm TB, 80mm MAF, shift kit, 24LBS injectors, and drag radials

after that: full supension and should have a real high 11 or real low 12 second car

u got eddy heads w/ a stock intake????

yea, u def need to think about a new intake manifold as ur are severly cutting off the power potential of your heads in ur current state.

Hell, even the stock intake cuts off the power potential of the STOCK HEADS!

Thanks a lot for your help
If I want to keep the stock intake (stock look) what other mods can be performed?
Should I install the 3.73 gears right now? The car has the factory option 3.23 gears already

gears are the best bang for the buck, and they look stock as well. as for the intake you really should look into doing something about it. if you really need to look stock, there is always extrude hone, be prepared to pay.

I HIGHLY reccommend dumping the stock intake for something aftermarket.

HOWEVER, if you really wanna keep it... then contact Tmoss.

just find an explorer/gt40 intake......still a ford part and no untrained eyes will be able to tell the difference.....i personally think the "stealth under the hood" look is queer as a 3 dollar bill but thats just me. If you want to keep it stock looking on the outside thats a different story but who cares if it LOOKS stock under the hood or not

Intake and a cam are a must with heads IMO

I have never seen after market heads with a stock intake before but I have not been doing this for very long. Get the explorer/gt40 intake to keep the stock look. I have heard that the best upper intake is a kenne bell

if you're really gonna keep the stock look... then the lower intake is the biggest restriction to be tackled in the intake set-up. it will still look stock but give you a few more ponies...

Keeping the stock intake wouldn't make any sense. Anyone who knows what they're looking at will spot the aluminum heads right away. The first thing I look at under the hood of a n/a car is the heads.

The stock intake can be taken from it's anemic 150cfm range up to 200cfm if the lower and upper are ported correctly. A 96 Explorer intake with internal EGR could be used and it accepts the stock intake bolt cover, but anyone who knows Mustangs knows what it is - not stock.

I've had ported stock intakes reach 280-290RWHP with high average torque across the rpm band, so they can be made into a good intake. My website has quite a bit f info on it about both intakes and their power results.
