Hello all, I would like to know if anyone has ever done a 2 bar to 4 bar swap on thier stang.

i have a 67 stang with a 351w mild build 4 speed toploader, it has a 2 bar carb so its ok off the line but runs out of steam quick and yes I am bored lol.

I just purchased a edlerbroke intake 351 rpm and a holley 670 street avanger.

i am wondering will this combo wake the motor up? will i notice a big difference? What should i expect from this upgrade?

any thoughts are welcome

Thanks
Mario

The only problem about your cam is you don't know the specs of it. Do you have stock heads? Just for referance I have a 670 street avenger and love it so far. If your heads have any work done to them it might not be enough carb for you.

I see your points regarding the cam! As for the heads they are stock for sure. I figure my car is only driven on weekends and in the summer (it stored for the winter) and a better intake and carb will wake her up a little. It seems right now around 3800-4000 rpm the motor wants more but the small 2 bar carb can't do it. SO ithought stick with the basics more fuel air. I do have full lenght hedders and flows (love them), so the exhust is perfect.
