I had ordered some new door cups, and lock knobs from 5.0 resto, and i would say their quality is excellent, just in case anyone was wondering. I know a lot of the sn95's need these replaced, and the lock knobs match my shifter.

just thought i would share my experiences with them. Their customer service is awesome. Said they would be here today, HERE TODAY, now thats what i am talking about.

leter guys, tell me how you think they look.

Also you guys who have painted their tail lights (bezels) black was it flat black or gloss black and did you or didn't you use clear, how did it turn out? I am planning on doing this tommorrow.

thanks to those who answer

I need to get me a pair of those door handle bezels. Do you have a part number and price for those?

One of mine snapped, and I wanted to paint them anyways.

Thanks

Looks great as far as I can tell...50resto is a great place to get stuff from...I put them through hell when I ordered my cobra front bumper and lights but they still got it here quick...Do you have any underhood shots of your ride...I have 2 T3s sitting on the floor behind me and just curious as to how they look

My door pods were all scratched and peeling so I experimented a little and painted them purple to match my bumper lettering.
I figured it would look gay but I had nothing to lose they needed replaced anyway, But I really liked the way it turned out and kept them and the paint has held up for about 3yrs now.

no you guys i didn't get he part number, if you go to www.50resto.com, and do a search for door panel inserts, or door cups you will find them one was 31$ and the driver side with all the switches was 38$

the door lock pins were 9$, i also got some misc. stuff but everythign looks superb quality, i guess the black wont have a tought time covering the blue on my tailights, even if they are painted blue now??????? or do i need to sand all the blue off.

thanks for the replies.

Hey andy, instead of sending you an e-mail i will just post it here, the money order was mailed out today. I also want to get you to beadblast some stuff for me. Just e-mail me a price. You're great LOL

As long as your car isn't black, you can use either gloss or semi gloss. It will look nice.

If you don't want them to stand out much, use Semi-gloss. My mirrors came out nice with that color. I will take some pics when I get the chance.

1105 where did you get those bumper inserts, they look great clear like that.

Andy, those door pods look good, but i see the tint to the tails like you were talking, and i think i will go with gloss black as that is what i painted the letters on the rear bumper cover with. and it turned out looking great. at least it'll match then

Did you have problems with the Krylon Fusion spray paint? A friend of mine used it on his dash, put masking tape over some of the painted sections so he could do another color to the vents, etc. When he removed the masking tape, half the paint came with it!

He didn't sand the paint though. Supposedly, the directions say there is no need to sand (paint chemically bonds w/ the existing paint). I would have sanded anyway.

See how the bezels stand really out on his car. Expect the same results with glossy paint. W/ semi-gloss, it will have a nice finish, but won't reflect the light as much.

I am going to get some color-matched paint to match the body color. But it's all up to what you want. To each their own. Either way, it's better than faded paint.

I also used Krylon fusion. Went over the bezels with 800 (just skuffed them up, didn't take all the paint off) and went at it. Mine have been black for about two months and they haven't changed at all. I'm happy.
