Say it ain't so. a guy at work says that I will have to cut my Steeda sport springs after I install my AJE tubular K in order to preserve existing front end ride height. If this is true, it would have been a useful piece of information when I asked AJE about retaining my Steeda Stage 3 setup w/ their piece at the time of purchase!

you will just loose a bit of weight that will stick it up a bit dont run isolators

No isolators, huh?

What exactly does an isolator isolate? This is going to be a daily driver. If its going to be a choice between ride height vs. noise and/or vibration, then I'll live w/ the former.

You probably won't even notice it. Isn't the tubular like 50 lbs. lighter?

It isolates the spring from the mounting point on the car.. If you take it out you will lower the car about a quarter inch for each one.

It isolates the spring from the frame for a reason though If this is just a DD then keep your isolators or the springs will transmit any and all vibrations right through them to the frame.

Put the springs in the correct way with the isolators. Cutting springs is the worst thing you can do to try and correct ride height. Losing weight in the front of the car might allow it to sit a little higher but I'm sure you won't even recognize the difference. I'm running an AJE k-member and I didn't notice any difference in the ride height. If ride height is a big deal then switch to a coil-over set up like I did where you can change the ride height with the turn of a nut.

Yeah, I would never consider cutting or heating springs inorder to adjust ride height. That would be a return to the bad ol' days of suspension re-engineering. I got to think that you guys are right about the subtlety of what's likely to happen when all is said and done. It was just something that I did not consider when purchasing the k-member. I decided against the coil over set up because before I took everything apart, I remember the top inside wheel/tire surface ( 17x9 fake Cobra w/ 5.75 backspacing on 245/45 rubber) being so close to the strut.
