New Kenne Bell #'s

I did the whole catback. You gotta love the way the maggie tips look!!! :nice: As far as part #, just go to parshopper on the top of the screen here and click away. It should be easy to find from there.
I just thought maybe you replaced the mufflers as I already have a catback and it's not really worth changing the whole thing again. I went from a magnaflow cat back to flowmaster and love the sound but think I might try the magnapacks this time. Thanks again for the info.

No problem bro. I say just get the magnapac mufflers and weld them in. No sense in changing the pipes if you already have!! Good luck! :nice:

P.S. WHAT ON EARTH do you have done to get those #'s at 9psi??? THEY KICK ASS!!!
I have a built motor with ported heads and cams. We have the 2 3/8" pulley on there but the little blower just won't make the 14 psi it's designed to. I'd like to make 14 psi but almost 500 rwhp at 9 psi isn't so bad.:)

Here is mine with just x-pipe bassani cat back and al/ds and 4.10's plus I am only running 70mm-tbody. You should def be able to pick up some more power but you may have to have it customed tuned to do it. I had mine done cause my chip was fubared for some reason and the guys that tuned mine are a distributer for KB so they knew thier way around to say the least (Thanx Brent and Frank DTP) I would look into a custom tune and then you can use the flip chip to do a winter tune and a summer tune for the extreme climate changes that occur in maine. :flag:

Your heads/cams are responsible for the lack of pressure. You'd be better served with the 2.2L when it comes out.

I'm really suprised though that just changing from 3 chamber flows to the magnapacs richened it up that much!!

If you gained 23 HP, then there must have been a substantial reduction in backpressure, and a corresponding computer reaction in terms of AF ratio.

I wonder if your boost level dropped at all.

Nope no loss in boost pressure. The 3 chamber flows are the kings of back pressure. Definitly NOT blower friendly mufflers.

lol, I'm aware, that's why I said what I said above. These are the same heads that were on my car when it made 663 rwhp with a centrifugal. No 2.2 for me.

Could you share your cam specs and head specs? Please :) I want to follow in your footsteps.

magnapacks are straight through mufflers right? what about the regular magnaflow's im curious because i think that magnapacks with longtubes and an O/R x pipe would be way to loud by the way does anyone know how a magnaflow catback with bbk lt's and a vrs xpipe would sound?

Both magnaflows and magnapacks are straight thru, and should perform the same. The magnaflows go diagonally through a rectangular muffler with more packing. The packs are straight through a concentric muffler, more like old glass-packs.

Dan your a little rich but the thing that I noticed is your MAF is pegging at the end with the typical go rich and slowly go lean at the end. I guess KB's tune is based on that
No, the MAF is not pegged. I have the 90mm Lightning MAF that KB uses in the big tube kit. My 1st dyno where I got the crappy #'s, my A/F was a rock solid 11.9:1.

So, you only changed from flowmaster mufflers to magnapacks and gained 23 rwhp? I've been considering doing the same thing for a while now but couldn't find any hard evidence that it would be worth the money and time. This may be it.

he got rid of 3 chambered mufflers...they will not flow as well as 2 chambered.
