I finally after about 4 days( due to my stupid ass work schedule) got my new king cobra clutch in. I'm pretty impressed with it, quite a bit stiffer than the stocker but seems to grab alot harder. Also got the trickflow streetheat intake put on a couple weeks ago, once again im happy with this product, the finish on this intake was super good, and feels like i gained some good power with it, also this intake made my powerband so so so much smoother. Now im aimed towards some brand new in the box 3.55 gears a guy at dads work has, i wanted to go with 3.73's but he will sell the 3.55 for 75 bucks. I'm hoping with the 3.55 gear and some good drag radials i can clip off a 8.8 or so in the 1/8th mile the best ive done so far was a 9.3 @ 76 mph. anyways just got bored and wanted to post what i have gotten accomplished in the last few weeks.

Did you have any fit issues with the lower intake. I am very interested in the same intake but I have read in a couple of forums that the lower has to be ground for clearence.

Did you have any fit problems with the lower? I have an explorer intake I was going to use but I would love to sell it and get the Trickflow with the black upper.

i love my king cobra clutch, i just wanted to tell you i purchased my 3.73 gears off e-bay and they looked brand new for $52.43, ford racing traction lok kit for $53.09,motive gear master bearing kit for $56.00 and speedo gear for $16.90 a grand total of $178.42. just some prices and info. it might be worth checking out . oh ya the gears were ford factory gears not just some cheap gears.

Don't bother with 55's. I've had them for 10 years now. They were excellent when I had a blower but 4:10's are the way to go. 73's are the minimum.

That may also be a waste of time. Find some 3:90's or 4:10's. 55's to 73's is a 200rpm difference on the tach and not much noticeable difference in your seat.

I never installed the 3:55's, they were given to me by a friend.
