New Lines, very little fuel?

I just bent new lines from thh tank to the pump. I have a clear inline fuel filter up close to the carb and it seems like I should be getting alot more fuel. I thought before it would shoot a stream into the filter. I can rev the motor up and the fuel level in the filter does not change (half full). I know this is not under a load, I think that would maje a difference, right? I checked the lines for a pinched spot but I do not see one. I had a small leak at a union, would that make a differnce?. The pump was doing great 2 weeks ago when I parked it to change the fuel tank and lines. I'm lost, I guess I will try and make up a new piece of line if I can't figure it out.

You need an in-line pressure gage to make sure the pump is delivering enough pressure. If it is between 4-7 psi (about normal) do a volume check by running the fuel line from the output of the pump to a bucket to check the pump output volume. (1 gpm is about normal)

How is your tank/float setup? I had thatg same problem and found that5 my tank was filled with some brown sugar and oatmeal like rust crap. Nasty. New tank & float made for nice flow. The engine was popping like CRAZY also. I thought it was running super rich.

new tank and lines.I just took it down the road and no stumbles or hesitation, so maybe it is ok. My eyes maybe just be deceiving me. i need to get a fuel pressure guage. is there one that goes inside the car (mechanical, electric, isolator) Does autometer make a phantom for inside the car?

There's a few of them here:

Just don't get a 30 psi gauge for a mech pump and a carb, even the 15s are too high.
