Hey guys,

Looking forward to participating and learning a lot here. Just picked up this 1993 LX on Sunday and I've enjoyed all four days of having it so far...even my wife loves the car!

Here are a couple of quick iPhone pictures along with some stats:

Basics
1993 Mustang LX (Original 5.0)
191,000 on the body, ? on the motor (probably the same but not sure)
TR-3550 Transmission (not sure what OD ratio or age)

Exterior
Red Pearl paint (orignally Electric Red-EG, repainted in '09, debadged)
Cobra R Fiberglass hood
Chrome Pony wheels (not sure if they are replicas or not)
Clear corners

Performance/Engine
MAC equal length headers
High-flow cats
Dynomax 2.5" exhaust
BBK CAI (Fender kit missing, the hole is still there)
"Quarter Mile Customs" chip (No clue, probably going to remove it)
Cross/drilled slotted rotors in front, rear drums

Interior
Recovered and "restuffed" black leather stock seats
Functioning ash tray cover!
Hurst shifter and knob
Billet knobs
Trademark "wizard sleeve" map pockets
Cupholder armrest
All of the power stuff still works (Locks, windows, mirrors)

Other
FRPP spark plug wires
R134 Retrofit
Electric fan (in the box, haven't installed)
Pro 5.0 Shifter (in the box, like the Hurst shifter/knob better)
Debadged
Trailer hitch (haha)

It's going to be a fun car to drive and build, and hopefully I'll get to keep it around for a while. Looking forward to hanging out here!

Move the air filter out of the engine compartment. It sucks up hot air from the engine and the turbulence caused by the fan can cause airflow problems through the MAF. That upsets the air/fuel ratio and makes the car run oddly with surges and spits. The stock air box and flat panel air filter are the best cold air kit you can get - no airflow problems and no surging or spitting from hot turbulent air.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!

@Jrichker thanks, I wasn't sure what having it in the engine bay would do, but I've seen very few people with the filter in there, so there must be a good reason. I'm dropping off the old plate at the guy's house, and I think he still has the fenderwell kit. If not, I'll call up BBK and see if I can get a replacement.

Also, sorry to the mods, I know this should have gone in the "Welcome Wagon" instead of here...please move it if necessary. You'd think that I'd know better, I am a community moderator/manager for a living!

@myslo50 Haha...well the chrome ponies are my 2nd favorite wheels for foxes, but my favorites aren't any less bling: Weld Draglites. My dad imbued me with a love for all things chrome, so I'd have to have these or the Welds.
