It been a week since we started the Mercury Mount. engine swap and it's almost done. We have only worked on it after work this week. Put on longtubes, I think they were more work than the swap. X pipe, underdrives and new cai, I got some pics I'll post up later, and I'm hoping to have the beast fired up by tomorrow evening, man this has been a learning experience, my first mod Mustang endevour. Thanks for the engine info!

Well it fired up the first turn of the key, runs pretty nice, drives great. I gotta do a fluid a torque recheck than it will be officially done, I am gonna post some pics tonight after work. The one bad thing is the front seems to sit higher, I guess thas from the lesser weight of the aluminum block. It needs lowered anyway

Well actually the car belongs to a good friend of mine, and I still have the car in my sig. He has no mechanical ability so I volunteered to try this swap, it feels like my car I drive it alot, it's nice to have different rides to cruise in. I really appreciate your advice and help I don't think I would have tried it otherwise

It will look just like any other 2v in a mustang..... Mounty motors are identical to stang's except mountys have an Aluminum block... Exactly the same other wise. A few minor things need swapped back and forth, but thats it.
