New Mustang, a couple Of Questions.

I got a new mustang its a 95 5.0 5spd.

It has headers,H pipe,no cats,and exhaust.(Dont know brand) and MSD ignition

I was told it has gears and it appears to be lowered.

1) In reverse there is a clunking sound I think its the exhaust hitting something. And also reverse is way 2 fast.(Faster than 1st gear(it seems)).

2) I also did the 240amp PA Performance alternator and did 4gauage wiring for the Big 3.

But there is still voltage drop and some lights dimming at the lower rpms(IDLE). Is that normal?

3) My Driver(power) seat will not go forward or back and therefore I cannot take out the back 2 bolts. What are my options for removing the seat.(The bracket broke off)

4) Is there a way to remove that stupid white bracket on the front doors that hold the speaker?(I want to make my own adapters and remove that stupid crap)

I'm not sure about the other questions but as far as you seat try moving forward while hitting the switch. Mine does not like to move due to the roll bar but if I push or pull in either direction it seems to help.

A ratcheting box end wrench helps reach seat bolts when the seat wont move (I had the same issue).

If you really have a 240 amp alternator, 4 AWG is way insufficient. A voltage drop, even with minimal loads, indicates insufficient wiring (I'm talking about doing a drop test, not seeing alt output drop with regard to RPM).

I have 4 gauge wire running from.
Alternator (positive) to Fuse Box.
Alternator Bolt(negative) to strut brace bolt.
New Engine ground(negative) to battery.
Chassis Ground(negative) to battery negative post.

Everything has been stripped to bare metal.

You also mentioned 4 gauge wire is not good? I should replace them with 0 guage?

My new Optima yellow top will be installed later today with new terminals. Ill post results after that.

I will look into performing a voltage drop test.

A single 4 AWG cable is not sufficient for a load of over 200 amps. Your plan sounds good to me. Just fuse it for the weakest link.

The seat issue is most likely the switch. When mine went out, it would go up and down, but not front and back. You can get a new one from Mustang Parts & Accessories - 50resto or one from a junk yard.

Me personally, Id start with the fuse for the seat motor. Out of the blue I noticed my seat wouldnt move at all and instead of checking the more simple things I assumed it was the seat track. Luckily I decided to check my fuses when I saw pennies in the power point and tada... fixed seat.

No my seat bracket is actually broken. It moves like a rocking chair.

Ill look into ratcheting box end wrench.

The alternator is fused with a 200 or 250 im not exactly sure gotta recheck.
